We had a fabulous time at Tropical World - Our end of year class trip! 〰️
We enjoyed a wonderful Sports Day-lots of fun and sunshine! Well done to all the children who participated in the sprint, sack race, egg & spoon, wheelbarrow race, mini-marathon and relay race. Everyone showed good sportsmanship and finished off the day with a special lunch menu followed by a treat from the ice cream van.
We enjoyed some green, sweet and delicious buns on Green Day! We used green food colouring and icing sugar for the frosting and topped them with some chocolate sprinkles!

Our Year 5 Superstar, Áine!
Áine came to school this week totally transformed with her lovely new hairstyle. She has kindly donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust in order to create a wig to help a child with cancer. This is such a generous thing to do and we are super proud of her!

Our Year 5 children enjoyed learning about safety on the farm and tractor safety today - there was much excitement with the New Holland in the school playground.
Congratulations to our Year 5s who achieved 100% attendance in Term 1 - Ben, Andrew, Edward, Enda, PJ, Dearbhla, Maeve and Rosa.
Well done to our top Mathletes this term also - Dearbhla, Áine, Cohan and Ben.
Faye is our final ‘Pupil of the Week’ for 2024.
Year 5 enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch prepared by our lovely cooks.
Our KS2 Christmas production of ‘Bah Humbug’-what a success! A huge congratulations to all the girls and boys who performed so well-a mix of acting, song and dance! We are so proud of you all!

Year 5 are learning all about Ancient Egypt and producing fabulous Egyptian themed art works.
Year 5 enjoyed Maths Week 2024 using Izak9 to problem solve in small groups-lots of fun learning about numbers!
